SMS Opt-In

This page documents how Loud Globe LLC (registered messaging brand: LoudGlobe), operating as Loud Globe, collects consent to send text messages, and what those messages contain.Loud Globe sends two kinds of text message, each with its own separate consent: a one-time passcode used to sign in, and optional event and album alerts that a user turns on with a switch.

Sign-in codes — where consent is collected

Consent is collected on the sign-in screen of the Loud Globe iOS app (and the identical sign-in form on loudglobe.com). The user taps Continue with phone and types their own mobile number into the phone field. Directly under that field, before the user submits the number, the app displays the disclosure below. Tapping Continue submits the number and is the act of consent; one passcode message is then sent to that number.

This is the only way a number enters our messaging system. There is no keyword, paper, QR-code or verbal opt-in, and phone numbers are never imported, purchased, or obtained from any third party.

Event and album alerts (marketing) — opt-in switch

On the same sign-in screen, directly above the disclosure, there is a switch labelled "Text me about events near me". It is off by default and is never pre-selected. A user who wants occasional texts about events and new photo albums from hosts in their city turns the switch on themselves before tapping Continue. This is a separate consent from the sign-in code: leaving the switch off still lets the user sign in, and consent is not a condition of using Loud Globe.

The line under the switch reads: "Sign-in code by SMS · up to 4 msgs/mo if on · Msg & data rates may apply · STOP to opt out, HELP for help · Privacy · Terms", with Privacy and Terms as tappable links to this site's Privacy Policy and Terms.

Every change of the switch is recorded on our servers with a timestamp, the wording version the user saw, and the app version. The switch can be turned off at any time in the app, and replying STOP to any message opts the number out immediately.

Sign-in codes — what we send

Sample message:

LoudGlobe: Your verification code is 123456. This code expires in 10 minutes. Do not share this code with anyone. Reply STOP to opt out.
  • Message frequency: varies with usage, typically one message per sign-in or verification attempt. Event and album alerts are sent only to users who turned the switch above on.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out: reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive no further messages.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message, or email theloudglobe@gmail.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Full details in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
